Setup Email in Outlook 2000
- If this is the first time you are running Outlook 2000 then skip to the second step.
- Click Tools and then click Accounts.
- Select Internet Only and click Next.
- Type your name and click Next.
- Type your email address and click Next again. If you are using a Computrols email account then it will be your username@computrols.com.
- Select POP3 in the drop down menu, and type in the incoming and outgoing servers and click Next. If you are using a Computrols email account then it will be computrols.com for both servers.
- Type in your user name and the password you were provided and click Next.
- Select Connect using my local area network(LAN) unless you are using a phone line, in that case select Connect using my phone line. Click Next.
- Click Finish.
- If you get an error about invalid or wrong server then check to see if you have entered the correct incoming and outgoing servers.
- If you get a login screen then the servers have been set up correctly, but your username or passwords were entered incorrectly.
